This shirt is inspired by the original Big Fish Shirt that Nelson Mandela received in 1994, a gift from artist Desré Buirski as a symbol of gratitude and hope. While the original featured a bold fish print inspired by Desré’s father who fished along the Cape coast, this version offers a more subtle take with a smaller fish design. It pays quiet tribute to the shirt that started the Presidential brand and the legacy it represents. Made from 100% cotton with a patch front pocket, single cuff and classic collar, it blends understated style with meaningful South African heritage.

We advise hand wash in lukewarm water to ensure maximum protection of one's shirt, however a machine wash at no more than 30 degrees is acceptable.

One should never tumble dry your shirt, always hang dry, and it should be ironed while still slightly damp to ensure best results. Do not bleach or starch your shirt as this will weaken the cotton fibbers and cause the fabric to become brittle and tear.
